Is it good or bad when you're romantic and always expect romantic things?

I can't deny that I love those kinda things. R-O-M-A-N-T-I-C. I wanna be treated nicely and a surprise can make me move to tears.

A small action can save the world, such as helping your gf to carry heavy things spontaneously, or simply sending your loved one a text telling him/her how much you are missing them.

There's a question I've always wondered, how TIME can erase romantic easily like this? :)) Because LIFE is too short? Or because ROMANTIC is an unnecessary thing?
